Rockwood Mall Updates

As many residents have noted, the northeast corner of the parking lot at Rockwood Mall has suddenly sprouted a fleet of new tenants – an abundance of trucks and cars.  It has become an eyesore.   A message was sent to our councillor, Chris Fonseca, requesting that she look into what options might the city be able to use to force the owner of the property to reverse this situation. 

In her response, Fonseca noted that Rockwood Mall has been sold and that she would be working with the new owners to resolve this situation in the near future.  A letter from her office indicated:

                  " Councillor Fonseca has been working with Rockwood Mall management and City of Mississauga staff to address the concerns. We believe that we have come up with a plan that will enforce the removal of the unwanted vehicles. We understand the frustrations of the community but Councillor Fonseca has been actioning on these concerns, and an update will be available soon.”
